Grameenphone currently lists Canada among the countries supported by its regular international-roaming internet and combo packs. It also supports VoLTE roaming with Bell Canada and lists Bell among its 5G roaming partners. If you use GP, check: your current Grameenphone roaming Canada pack, included data, pack duration, calls and SMS, the Canadian partner network, and whether roaming is active before travel. Grameenphone also introduced roaming packs that can be bought in Bangladeshi taka through the MyGP app, and Canada is included among the destinations for applicable packs. For a short visit, GP roaming may be enough. For a longer stay, compare the total roaming cost and allowance with a Canadian monthly plan.
Robi has expanded international roaming to more than 70 countries and now allows users to purchase roaming packs in BDT through the My Robi app. If you use Robi, search for the current Robi roaming Canada option inside My Robi before relying on it for your trip. Check: Canada availability for your line, data allowance, package validity, calls and SMS, activation steps, and current roaming price. If your stay is short and the current Robi package suits you, roaming may be simple. If you are moving for months, compare it against a Canadian plan instead of assuming repeated roaming will be the better option.
Banglalink currently lists Rogers as its preferred Canadian roaming network. Its published Canada coverage includes voice, prepaid roaming and 4G service, and Canada is also included in current prepaid roaming-pack destinations. If you use Banglalink, check: your current Banglalink roaming Canada pack, whether you use prepaid or postpaid, included data, calls and SMS, pack validity, and activation method. Banglalink currently lets users activate roaming through MyBL, email, WhatsApp or selected stores depending on the setup. For a short trip, this may be enough. For study, work or a longer move, compare the total cost with ongoing Canadian service.
Teletalk does provide international roaming, but its current published roaming-partner list does not clearly list Canada. Its international-roaming page also says the service is mainly available to postpaid customers and its published data-roaming information remains more limited than the other major Bangladesh operators. If you use Teletalk, confirm Canada roaming availability directly with Teletalk before your trip rather than assuming it will work. For a traveller who expects to depend heavily on mobile data in Canada, this check is especially important.
An ongoing monthly plan is not right for every traveller.
If you are visiting Canada for a holiday, family stay or another shorter trip, a prepaid Canada SIM or eSIM may be easier.
With prepaid service, you choose a defined service period rather than continuing with ongoing monthly postpaid billing.
